Belfast Fleadh Cheoil 2026

Belfast will host the Comhaltas Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann,  the world’s biggest celebration of Irish music and culture, for the first time from Sunday 2 August 2026 to Sunday 9 August 2026. 

Qualifying competitors from all over the world will showcase the very best of traditional music, song, dance and language in All-Ireland competitions and over  800,000 people are expected to enjoy the eight-day event which will also include street performances, pub sessions and stage concerts.

Do you want to know how the women of Belfast contributed to the world of Irish music, language and dance?

On this two hour walking tour you'll hear about:

* The traditional Irish song written in Belfast and performed by women such as Sinead O'Connor, Kate Bush and The Corrs

*The woman from Belfast considered to be one of the most influential figures of modern Irish dance

*The woman from the North who travelled around Ireland trying to bring the Irish language to small communities

And many others!

This tour will run twice a day during the Belfast Fleadh but spaces are limited so don't miss out!
