There is so much happening in Belfast this week as well as my special Women of Belfast Walking Tour 'Belle' Feirste! which I'm only doing this week and you can book here
I thought I would do a wee round up of some of the events which I'm going to try and get to.
First one is the Bell Exhibition which is showing at St Josephs in Sailortown. This is an exhibition co-curated by Frankie Quinn and the Belfast Archive Project presenting photographs of the West of Ireland captured between 1930-1950s by four brothers and they show rural Irish life, travel, language and landscape in the middle of the last century. They're also showing a silent film called 'Man of Aran' from 12pm until 3pm and you can find out about it here.
Another event I'm hoping to get to is in the Queens Film Theatre on Wednesday at 12.30 where they're showing 'My Name is Ottilie' about the life of singer Ottilie Patterson, one of the women who features on 'Belle' Feirste! and you can find out and book that here
The last recommendation this week is for another tour, this time a coach tour. This is for Laverys Bus Tour - 'Pints, Punks & Paramilitaries' with Wee Walks friend and alleged Tour Guide of the year at some point, Paul Donzo Donnelly. This is on Friday at 10.30am and promises to be great craic and also includes a free pint at the end! You can find out about that one here
Also lots of other free events, exhibitions and music in Belfast this week so join in the fun and tell me what you're looking forward to.
Also hit me up with your recommendations - if I get the time!
