The Wee Walks Book Club
I started the Wee Walks Book Club a few months ago as a way to read some of the forgotten literature written by women from this part of Ireland and we have read books by women like Rosa Mulholland, Janet McNeil and Joan Lingard.
We meet in the Jeggy Nettle on the Stranmillis Road on the first Sunday of every month
And for October we're reading 'Truth or Fiction' by Jennifer Johnston, and you can read a bit more about Jennifer Johnston here
The book is easy to read and loosely based on the life of her father the playwright Denis Johnston.
There is no charge for the Wee Walks Book Club so you can just turn up and its a way of connecting with other like minded women for chats about books and all sorts of stuff (if you've been on one of my tours you'll know how much I love a chat!)
